Welcome to Fontenot's Red Brahmans
Fontenot’s Red Brahmans, located in Ville Platte, Louisiana, raises high quality Red Brahman cattle, that will perform in the pasture. Our passion for Red Brahman cattle began when we bought a registered Brahman bull from the Cherokee Ranch to put on the commercial cows we had at the time. We fell in love with the breed, and by 1976 we were fully invested in raising registered Red Brahman cattle.
Our Dams
The goal of Fontenot’s Red Brahmans has always been to produce cattle that will work in the pasture. Our Brahman females must have a good conformation, gentle disposition, great udders, and produce a calf each year that gets up and nurses unassisted. Our Red Brahman Herd Sires, are also known for having lots of bone, muscling, and breed character, as well as a good feet and legs, and a gentle disposition. Overall - just good functional seedstock Red Brahman cattle that will work anywhere, for any type of operation. We are constantly working to breed the best Red Brahman cattle. Last year, we purchased a very select group of heifers from HK Ranch, to help us continue to improve the genetics of our herd.
